CHALLENGE
Inktober, an annual art challenge created by artist Jake Parker, encourages participants to improve their skills and develop consistent drawing habits by creating a new ink drawing every day for the entire month of October. The challenge promotes creativity, skill development, and sharing artwork with the community on social media platforms. The objective was to take part in this challenge and maintain consistency in creating daily artwork, while exploring new styles and techniques.
PROCESS
Since 2020, I have participated in Inktober, choosing to create all of my drawings digitally using Procreate. Each day, I embraced the challenge of producing a unique piece, focusing on refining my ink drawing techniques and pushing my creativity. By sharing the drawings on social media with the official #inktober hashtag, I was able to engage with other artists and expand my personal portfolio.
SOLUTION
The final collection of digital drawings showcased my growth in both skill and style over the course of the month. Participating in Inktober helped me establish a daily creative routine and explore different themes and techniques in digital ink illustration. The process allowed me to connect with a larger community of artists, while improving my own craft and expanding my digital portfolio.
